Content

The participatory approach and its methods are becoming increasingly important in agriculture. This module is intended as a way to learn and practice the basics. From a collaborative systemic representation tool ? La Grange ?, this module will allow to understand how to help different actors (breeders, advisers, elected officials, food industry...) to exchange about the functioning of a complex livestock system linked to its territories. The study topic will be related to UE 13 Case studies in Europe.
Theoretical contributions :
? History and theories of participation.
? Methodology of participatory approaches.
? Experiences of participatory approaches implemented in livestock farming.
Tutorial work:
? Before the case studies in Europe: appropriation, design and construction of a participatory approach around livestock farming.
? After the case studies in Europe: preparation of the restitution, management of the participative approach animation.
